Well, as most of you know, it's been snowing up here in the northwest and of course, as Oregonians, we were expecting it to blow in and blow out just like they always do! How wrong you can be and how awesome is Mother Nature at throwing all of us for a loop!!!
Last Sunday night, (meaning December 14), it started snowing. Well that particular day was a little bit crazy anyway because I was going to sing special music with Susan Mammen and Denise Brock, so we were ready to practice at 4:30 and it was just coming down like crazy! Well, the special music turned out good, (aside from the few laughing people in the audience who couldn't help but laugh every time I took a breath and started to sing and my stomach would follow suit, up and down, up and down, up and down - Ms. Lester would be proud of me cuz' I was singing properly!).

Susan, Pastor, Denise and me singing (almost!) I think I was talking!! How unusual!! :)
All of the kids were just dying to get outside after church to start playing in it and of course I was just waiting to see what August was going to do. After service, Scott was my man and went and cleared the car for me, pulled it up to the front door for me and went on his way, so August and I walked through the snow and got snow ALL OVER our shoes and his pants. The first thing he said as we got in the car was "Oh Gross......get off, get off!!!" (meaning he wanted me to get the snow off of his pants and shoes!!) Well, not the response mom was expecting but comical just the same!
Scott's office closed the following day, so we went out for coffee at Cornerstone and then we went to Aunty Kelly's house to make sure she was ok and discovered her tarp was in need of coming down (see the pictures) and of course had to take a couple pictures. And then came home where our neighbors were good enough to let August borrow some gloves (because his dumb mom wasn't smart enough to buy some for him), and let him ride on the sled they have. Well, August just loved that!

Is this the sweetest picture or what?

Getting in the first sled ride thinking we wouldn't have another chance to do it.........
He still hasn't really gotten into wanting to actually play in it - but maybe next year he will! (Snow story to be continued......)

What fun! We are having wintry weather, too...ours is too cold to go outside in, though. Enjoy it :) Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family. i loved your card, what an adorable photo!! xox
Steph....cracking up about the Ms. Lester comment! :) I feel the same way when I sing each week in the worship band. I feel my diaphram going in and out and just know that people that do not have a background in music are wondering why my stomach is extending so much...have I gained weight? LOL I'm sure that with a baby inside...its even more pronounced! Love the pic of August on the sled...very cute! Scott is of course very manly in his shorts with snow on the ground..LOL Jason would do the same thing!
IS Scott really wearing shorts? Johnny's usually in shorts but even HE wasn't crazy enough to wear them in that weather! Ha! Love the pix on the sled! It's so good to finally have internet again so I can start posting!
Ok I like dis one the best :)
