So I've been waiting to "report" about Christmas until I can access some of our "video footage" and I've finally been able to get a few minutes and access to Scott's computer to do it!
The tree and "stuff" Christmas eve.
We had a really fun Christmas. Scott's mom and dad and his sister were with us on Christmas day. So after letting August do his normal "wake up" routine, and after having sung Happy Birthday to Jesus, here is his initial look at all the presents and the tree, etc.
Of course, there are lots of pictures and videos, but I will try to keep it to a minimum. August was very blessed as were Scott and I to receive some wonderful gifts! It was exciting this year because August was old enough to understand what was going on as opposed to last year where he was more interested in the wrapping paper and bows.
His new Elmo jacket/outfit.
Scott was as excited as August about opening presents - this one turned out to be a digital picture frame from my mom and dad!! Yeah!
Here is a short video of him saying thank you to Aunty Eva - pretty cute.
And of course we saved the best present for last. See an earlier post for the lead up to this, but the long and short is that all the grandparents bought August a Cadillac Escalade for Christmas. Of course, Scott and I were wishing it was for us, however, it wouldn't have fit under the tree, so we settled for letting August get one. He really likes it, so thank you to the Grandmas and Grandpas for such a cool gift!
The Escalade all wrapped up.
August getting a feel for the ride!Grandma Wegner giving it a try too!
We finished up the day with a nice lunch of Prime Rib roast, veggies, green bean casserole, pumpkin cheese cake, a yummy berry dessert and lots of coffee! We mostly just sat around and played the rest of the day - didn't really go anywhere, but had a nice time.
