Ok, so I'm sure you all can relate to the day when you were walking around your house, getting ready for church or to go somewhere - you're all ready and your going like a whirlwind to try and get everyone else ready to get out the door, and suddenly you realize, your baby is a little boy/little girl and not a baby anymore.
Yesterday was one of those days where I was just hurrying and got August all ready to go to church and took some pictures of him cuz he was looking so stinkin' cute and I looked at them today and realized what a little boy he is. Besides the fact that yesterday, his birthday present from Grandpa and Grandma Wegner arrived in the picture of a BIG BOY BED. So yesterday was the first day he slept in his new bed as opposed to sleeping in his crib. As I was taking pictures of his bed (which is really nice by the way!), I was looking at how little he looks in this HUGE bed. I told Scott we have to remember to take a picture of him in it at 18 (if he still has it by then) because I'm sure by then he'll be huge!
Today was just one of those reflective days where I'm busy doing things, but am noticing how much he's growing into a boy. People said these years go by so fast, and they were right. I'm so glad that I am able to spend every day watching him grow even if some of the days are a little crazy and I wonder why I do this!!! It's days like this, and days where he spontaneously gives me kisses, or puts his arms around my neck and says "love you", that make all the days we have to discipline or go crazy worth while!

oooooooooo so sweet! You are brave putting him in a big boy bed! I can't imagine Natalee staying in bed for quite sometime! I'm so glad she has bars on hers (: tee hee! I can't even see August in the bed picture... he's so tiny and the bed seems so huge!
Oh Steph....you have NO idea just how fast it goes. Let's just say my oldest son who was just born yesterday just turned 17!! Have fun with him and don't blink.
Watching my boys grow up has been a whirlwind for sure! I hugged Christian this morning and was freaking out.....he is now leaning over me to give me a hug...jeesh...how is my 12 year old that BIG! LOL
BTW....I saw Angie Desjarles, David Ledbetter and Joe Wright this weekend at the Breast Cancer Walk. :)
