Well, it's been a few days since I posted last, and sadly - I have to admit, I don't have any new pictures, but that doesn't mean that nothing has happened in the last couple of days!
Doing this mom thing has brought some real growing up times in my own life and last Tuesday was one of those days. Now I know that being pregnant has NOTHING to do with it (wink, wink :)), but I thought I was going to go crazy! The day started out great - the plans were to do the following:
1. Go to Cornerstone with some of the ladies from the church for coffee
2. Go to WalMart for a few things
3. Go to Winco and pick up a few groceries cuz' the McMillians were coming for dinner.
4. Go home, put August down for a nap and finish cleaning the house and cook dinner.
Sounds really simple right? Ha Ha Ha.....says all the moms of 1 1/2 or 2 year olds out there!
So I took a shower, got all dressed and was putting my makeup on while my darling, handsome, cute, adorable little 2 year old was reading a book on my bed. Well he decided to take a nose dive off our bed and it knocked the wind out of him, so there I am, comforting and helping like a good mom when all of a sudden, he throws up ALL of the cup of milk he just finished drinking, except it had curdeled by then, and smelled REALLY bad. So it went all over my only clean shirt (cuz I hadn't had a chance to do our clothes laundry the day before) as well as all over my blanket, and both sheets on the bed which I had just finished washing, drying, ironing THE DAY BEFORE!!!! So I cleaned us both up, threw August in the bath, threw the blanket in the washer, changed into a shirt I thought I could get away with wearing and finished putting my makeup on. Well, as I was finishing my makeup, I proceeded to drop a whole thing of LOOSE eye shadow all over my shirt (which I had just changed, remember), all over the counter (which I had just cleaned because we were having company), and all over the floor! (Believe me, I wasn't having the urge to cuss.......yet) Got that all cleaned up, August cleaned up, shirt changed and we were off!!!!
The rest of the day was pretty good, aside from 3, count them.....3 pee pee accidents from my darling 2 year old (who hasn't had an accident in weeks!), one of which was in bed during his nap which means I had more bedding to wash, as well as 3 changes of clothes......whew.....and then Christina came and rescued me! After dinner (which went off well considering the day) she MADE me sit down and did all my dishes, served dessert and gave me some good perspective on a day like this day, like remembering my 2 year old is still a baby and is going to have accidents and isn't intentionally making my day bad. So now, I have a day that I can look back to and laugh and say that I made it through and I didn't even cuss once!!!!! :) (not that I would have anyway, but all my friends know what I mean!)
So to all you moms out there, I salute you for whatever stage you are at, because as I'm learning, it's not the easiest job in the world! Have a great week everyone! Hopefully pictures to come soon.

whew! Makes me tired just reading it! Natalee has somewhat poop-trained herself... but I'm honestly not looking forward to potty training at all. No pee on my floor for me! I'm glad you have a good friend who helped out and gave you a break! You deserved it! (:
i'm sorry...i didn't make it past the sentence where you said you IRON YOUR SHEETS!?! Wow. That alone makes you a Superwoman. You could have gone out in puke-covered clothes and said "oh yeah? well my sheets are ironed!" to anyone who gave you a funny look :)
i'm amazed!!
Steph, I am cracking up. Not only have I had numerous moments like that with the boys but it SOOOOO reminds me of our Solo & Ensemble in Flagstaff to which EVERYTHING went wrong for me. LOL
We know you wouldn't curse and even when you get so upset that the baby is ruining the day......all Mom's finally stop fuming long enough to realize the situation is comical and the children are precious....even pukey! LOL
