I admit....

.....I've been a "blog stalker" and not a blog writer these past few weeks. Funny - with all the things that happen around our house, I haven't had the urge to post anything. I also admit I've had a sort of hard month with emotions and feelings and all that sort of stuff that we all hate to admit we have. I think a lot of it is just post-pregnancy "stuff" and I'll be soooooo glad to feel normal again, but some of it is just self-reflection that doesn't look nice so I'm "dealing" with it in the only way I can which is to "keep to myself". Ok, there it is......I'm admiting to a BAD character flaw, but at any rate - that is the main reason I've been MIA.

On to happier notes.......the kids are growing like weeds and every day I'm amazed! August is so funny and full of funny words. Last night we were sitting around the table for dinner and he says, "Daddy, I'm proud you came home" - and - "Mommy, I'm impressed for dinner". Now I'll admit that these are words I use with him when he's done something that I want him to keep doing (like picking up his toys without being asked, or doing the potty thing on his own, etc. you get the idea) and so he uses these words to express how he feels........hmmmmm.......take that in again he uses these words to express how he feels. I didn't know almost 3 year olds do that, but they do!!! I guess cuz I've never had one before!!!

He is all too aware that his birthday is coming up so when we were skyping with my parents and Kelly and Sarah and Madi, I asked him what song he wanted to sing to Madi and guess which song he wanted to sing???? Yep - Happy Birthday! Not just once though, he had to sing it twice! And he kept saying "Look at silly Grandpa - he's a weirdo" (now a disclaimer here, I use those words too, but if any of you know my dad.....well.......nothing else needs to be said!!!!! Sorry dad!) And finally "Look at that grirlly - she's so silly (talking about Madi)!" More to come about dear August, but I have to keep this short - housework and all you know!

And little Grace - wow is all I have to say - she cut 2 more teeth so now she has 3 1/2 teeth - all on the bottom. She is sitting totally unsupported AND now she's on her hands and knees, rocking back and forth, just waiting for the opportunity to get all the coordination together to actually crawl. She's been starting to use the syllables "Da Da Da Da", not using them in any particular order of course. She's almost down to 2 naps per day and eating 3 meals of solids (well, baby food if you call that solid!). It just amazes me how fast the first year goes and how they change so much. It did with August too, but I guess you get amazed with every kid you have because they are so different!
