Hickies or a mustache?

Ok I know what you're thinking when you read the title, but you'll laugh when you hear the story!

This past Sunday I was in nursery and as we were getting all the kids together and making sure things weren't too crazy (we had a few extra kids because of a wedding going on - that's for another post though) and I look over at August as he's playing on the slide we have in there. I take another look and he's got one of the "play" plastic cups suctioned around his lips and who knows how long he's had it there. So OF COURSE I tell him to get it off immediately, but wouldn't you know - it was too late! His entire mouth was purple and I just anticipated the purple/blue ring that was going to form around his mouth from the suction.

Sure enough, after about 10 minutes, what started forming looked either like he ate a purple popsicle and got it ALL OVER his mouth, or.......... he looked (from a distance) as though he had a mustache/goatee going on! He looked pretty darn funny and I don't think he ever really realized why we kept laughing about it. Maybe because I never had him look at himself with the "mustache" to really see what it looked like.

This one is a little better - his first mustache and first and LAST goatee!

Well, it's now Thursday and the remnants of his "mustache" are now faded into the sunset, but I was able to get a couple pictures - mind you, they are not great because I couldn't get the light right, but they work to give you the idea. All I have to say is - at least it wasn't on his neck!!!!
