"I'm a rabbit"

The conversation/s go like this:

Mom: August sit at your seat so we can eat dinner.
A: I can't, I'm just a rabbit.
M: Ok......but you still need to sit and eat because rabbit's have to eat too.
A: But I'm just a rabbit!
M: That's fine, but you still need to eat.
A: I'm a rabbit, I just want vegetables.
M: (thinking inside - vegetables????where did he get that!!) That's fine, but rabbits also eat their meat! (I KNOW rabbits don't eat meat, but I'm hoping he doesn'!)
A: No rabbits just eat carrots!
M: (huh???? where in the world does this kid get it????!!!!)

And at bedtime:
A: (whimpering because the cd is not the exact one he wants)
M: Whats the matter?
A: (more whimpering) I'm just sad.
M: Why are you sad?
A: (said in a whimpery voice) because I'm just a rabbit.
M: Ohhhhh, and that makes you sad?
A: Yeah.
M: Well you don't need to cry because your a rabbit.
A: I'm just a turtle.
M: (huh???????) Oh you're a turtle now?
A; Yeah.
M: so you're sad because you're a turtle, but you want to be a rabbit?
A: Yeah.
(Oh my goodness!!!! Ha Ha Ha!!!)

I was desperately trying not to laugh! Where in the world does he get this stuff??? I just about died. So funny.
