Friends

So waaaayyyyyy back in the end of June (I know, I know - I'm REALLY late!) my friend Pam was going on a road trip and she made her way up here to the Northwest! Most of her extended family lives here in Oregon and her older sister lives in Idaho, so she, her two boys and our mutual friend Rachel clambered into her car and drove like madmen up here. They had a whirlwind of a trip, but were able to swing through McMinnville one night, stay the night and then head off to southern Oregon for Pam's family reunion.

Antonio couldn't make it - he was just too tired!

It was really nice having them here and as I haven't seen Rachel in about 15 years, it was really nice to see her too! We BBQ'd here and then they hit the sack. I was laughing because her boys ended up falling asleep as we were all busy talking, so August said he wanted to sleep "with the boys", so I talked to Scott, talked it over with Pam and let him have a "slumber party". His first ever!!!

He actually did really well and then in the morning, he woke up at his usual time, but he was a little upset and kept saying, "tell him to give it to me" (or something like that). Well, I had no idea what he was talking about, but wouldn't you know - Antonio had stolen his blanket (his special blanket) in the night sometime and put it over his face! Poor August couldn't take it from him because Antonio had a death grip on it!!!! Oh I laughed, but poor August was aghast because it was "HIS blanket!" So that is how the "slumber parties" started and so we let him have one every now and then. He had a couple with Grandma Wegner (where he pretty much kicked her off the air mattress) and he had a couple with Scott and I.

At any rate, to finish my story, Pam and Rachel and the boys took off the following morning but not until after we all took a million pictures, so here they are! Thanks again for stopping by Pam and Rachel! We had a blast and we hope you did too!
