Survey for fun

Ok so I had a few minutes this afternoon and my friend Leah's mom made up this survey so I thought it would be fun to put it on the blog as a "snippet of reality" and a look at who I am as a person. Have fun reading it!


1. Do you wear make-up at home, even though you will not be going anywhere all day and no one is expected to stop by? Hmm……well I guess that depends on if I’m cleaning that day, if I’m inspired to actually put it on, and how I’m feeling that day. Although that doesn’t answer the question – sometimes yes and sometimes no.

2. Last book you read other than the Bible? Cyrus the Unsinkable Sea Serpent, Bill Peet (hey it’s true – we just got back from the library!)

3. Favorite style of music? Used to be country, but I’ve switched to Southern Country Gospel (ie: the Gaithers), but I also like mellow rock and actually can listen to alternative but only for a time.

4. Most desired gift to receive from husband? Hmmmm…. A day home from the office and a trip to the coast.

5. Most desired gift to receive from girl friend? Emails and phone calls. Can do with almost nothing else, I’ve learned – that’s my absolute favorite thing!!!

6. Preppy, polyester or pure linen clothes? Guess you could say I go sort of preppy, but I like the simplicity of buying basics and changing accessories, shirts, shoes, purses, etc. However, do you think I actually do that?? Of course not – but if I had about $5000 to spend on clothes, that’s what I would do!!!

7. Small posts or dangle earrings? Both – but I’m huge on simple earrings as well – don’t hardly change them out. Small hoops and diamond studs.

8. SHOES! How many pair do you own? Currently? I hate all of my shoes except for the ankle boots I bought while I was pregnant and I think I have about 4 other pairs including 2 pairs of heels. Weird I know, but I can never find what I like (or better yet, do I even know what I like???? It’s getting harder to determine the older I get!)

9. What do you "collect"? (anything over three is considered a "collection"!) Elephants……….. ummmm and I think that’s it. I like Rachel’s answer about dust – I could add dog hair “bunnies” to that!

10. Hobbies? Singing, starting to scrapbook, love to blog but not sure that’s a hobby.

11. Ribbons & Lace OR Denim & Diamonds? I guess ribbons and lace – I can be a girly girl if I want to.

12. Glazed or Frosted Cake donuts? You know, I love glazed, but there is something about a chocolate frosted old fashioned donut that can’t be beat!

13. Gum or breath mints? Definitely gum.

14. Do you like change or for things to stay pretty much the same? I guess I’m becoming more of a change person. I appreciate familiarity, but love the aspect of change because believe me, you wouldn’t want me to be the same person I was a few years ago, so I think change is good.

15. Sports favorite? Love Football, like watching basketball and I always liked watching Yavapai College soccer.

16. I wish....................finish the sentence. Wow…never thought about that so here goes. I wish there was a way to be the person God wants you to be without having to fight the flesh the whole way. Don’t necessarily mind circumstances, but don’t like who/what I am sometimes!

17. I love the seasons because........finish the sentence..... Because it reminds me that there is always something beautiful to come. I love fall because of the crisp feeling of everything going to sleep, but I also love spring (have learned to appreciate spring since living in the northwest) because it is so fresh and new and can be a very beautiful time.

18. In the year 2009 I would like to accomplish..........finish the sentence.... getting into a routine with my kids, workout, prayer life, ministries and voice lessons. Would love to try and take voice lessons if possible, but don’t know that that is going to happen. Would also love to step out of my comfort zone and do some things I’ve always wanted to do but am too scared to do.

19. God has done.............................in my life. How about if I say, “God has” proven Himself to me over and over again by being the God He promised in His word He would be. He has given me grace, patience, stability, a clean life, a wonderful family, loving husband and beautiful kids. He’s not taken away my trials, but guided me through them to become the person I am today.

20. Bedtime? In bed by about 9:30 or 9:45 – but usually don’t sleep until later now that I have a newborn! When I was still pregnant I could fall asleep in about 2 seconds, but it takes me a little longer now! 21. Lotions/Perfumes .... floral or fruity? I think you could say I like floral for some, but fruity for others. Sort of weird. My favorite B&BW scent is Moonlight Paths, but I also love Coconut Lime Verbena. It kind of depends on what mood I’m in.
