Disclaimer....

I know this is a silly post, but I thought I should clarify for all of the followers of this blog all the "Auntys and Uncles" you hear about on our blog.

My husband grew up in Hawaii and there, as a sign of respect, everyone who is older than you is called "Aunty" or "Uncle", so even if the person is not related to you, you can call them Aunty or Uncle instead of by their first name to show respect. So we are teaching August to call people either Uncle or Aunty so and so, or to call them by Mr./Mrs and their last name. I know it's a little goofy, but it is a little easier for us to have him call our close friends Aunty and Uncle and people he may not know as well by Mr./Mrs.

So even if you weren't wondering, I thought I'd throw that in there to let you know August and Grace don't REALLY have that many Aunty's and Uncles!!! Hope I didn't thoroughly confuse all of you!!!
