One about me. I know this blog is to document and keep family informed of how my kids are doing and how big they are getting, etc. But I thought it wouldn't hurt to have one little one about me. I don't know if any of you went over to my "guest post" at Leah's blog, but I've been really excited about being able to tell someone other than people I don't know. Please don't think I'm bragging - it's just pretty exciting.
So here is a before:
My handsome husband and kids, February 2009
The disclaimer? This was about a week after Grace was born - can you believe there is not ONE picture of me until about Christmas 2010 where you can see my whole body? Anyway - we won't go there, but I was about 170 in this picture and still had my pregnant stomach as you can see. 170 doesn't sound so high, but for a person who is only just barely 5'0, that's a lot. The "charts" say I'm supposed to be about 100/105 (YEAH RIGHT!) for my age, and height.
This is me a couple weeks ago. I am now at 110, which I have NEVER weighed for as long as I have weighed myself - meaning like around 12 years old or so.
It's pretty exciting to see all the hard work pay off and only pictures (and mirrors) tell the truth. What made me really realize how big I was in the first picture, was the video that was taken on that day for Grace's baby dedication. I was walking down the aisle and was very wide across the back - something I'd never thought about before - you always just see the front and think - wow, but the back was worse!!!!
At any rate - I'm really excited to be training for a 1/2 marathon that I get to run with my father-in-law, my sister-in-law and her friend Ginger. It's pretty crazy that if you ask your body to do something, it will usually comply with a little groaning - it's the mind that says "you can't do that". I'll keep you updated on the run, but for now, I'm done with the post about me. On to my kids!

I'm glad you took time to post about yourself and how you're not growing anymore. *grin* :) You're part of the family and we love to hear about the adults once in a while too. :)

Good for you Stephanie!!! When is your marathon? Joanne and I had a great time running together! Are you training WITH anyone? If I was there, I'd be running right beside you....well, maybe not for the WHOLE marathon, but I KNOW I CAN DO 6 miles!!!! GO STEPHANIE!!!!
