So the Friday after Thanksgiving, Scott, the kids and I trekked out to the outlet mall on the coast and hit a couple stores before the kids freaked out because they were tired. On the way home, we decided - oh yeah- we need to get a tree before it passes us by and we don't have time to enjoy it!! So we discovered this really cool tree farm here in town that is like - maybe 3 miles from our house!!! So we stopped, tromped through the mud (no we weren't dressed for it AT ALL - we were dressed to go shopping!) and picked out a beautiful tree.
Of course when you're out there, it looks great next to some of the others, so they bundled it up for us and tied it to the car - August LOVED every minute of it even though it came right in the middle of his usual nap.

When we got it home and unwrapped it - can you believe????
It is THE nicest tree we have ever had!
It looks fake it's so nice! No holes, no lopsided-ness, no scraggly top, just a nice beautiful tree. Of course now that it's up it's a little bit of a chore to keep little hands off of it, but we've dealt with that nicely and moved on. So here is our lovely christmas tree!!! (Excuse the lopsided ornaments, etc - I had a 3 year old helping me!)
This is just a funny picture of Scott trying to get the dogs to pose........not an easy task - I think I took about 15 pictures and they still never got it right! Worse than kids :)

I love your tree and I'm totally jealous!! I'm hoping for a real one next year..before we leave OK. They are cheaper here than they were in AZ.
It's beautiful. Oh, and we have lopsided ornaments also because I let the kids decorate and I haven't even tried to "correct" it. :) Hey, someday I'll wish they were here to do it, so I'll enjoy it for now. :)
