Cleaning the truck.......er.....tractor.

So we're teaching August early to "clean the truck" (the Grandpas will be happy about that!). So the other day (yeah like clear back in the end of September the other day, uugghhh!) I had given Grace a toothbrush to play with while I was fixing her hair and she ended up carrying it out to the Living Room with her. No big deal - I'll pick it up and put it away after I try to get them some breakfast, etc. Well, it didn't really happen that way and August got a hold of it. No biggie - he likes to brush his teeth - whatever. So I let it go. That was when I saw what he was doing with it!
Mom - I'm trying to concentrate here.
Oh - you're taking pictures? Ok, I'll just give you a cheeseburger grin then!
It's all in the details.
So before I took the pictures, I sat and watched him for about 3 or 4 minutes to see what he was actually doing and wouldn't you know....(this is really gross, but hey - he's a boy and so whatever right?) He was sticking the toothbrush in his mouth (to get it wet - how else are you going to get it wet if Mom won't give you water??), and then proceeding to "clean" his tractor......from top to bottom. THEN, because the seat on his tractor lifts up and you can store small things under the seat, when he was finished "cleaning" he would put the toothbrush "away" under the seat and go on with whatever else he was doing. I JUST DIED LAUGHING!!!! I thought, what a funny thing for him to think of doing on his own - believe me I didn't show him that and I'm not sure what Scott's been showing him when he cleans the cars!!!
Anyway - thought this was just one more funny for the day!
(Crazy kid!)

I love it!! I have these great pictures of Alex fixing his bike with his play tools. He was about 3 or 4 also.

It's great to see our boys being boys, huh?

Thanks for the wonderful post! :)
