"Jen Day"

We have this awesome lady in our church named Jennifer Brock. I always want to say "girl", but really she's MY age!! She just had a birthday and turned 32! Jennifer had a traumatic birth and due to complications was born with brain damage. There is a HUGE story behind where she is at today, but lets just say, SHE IS INCREDIBLE! And we just love her!

During the summer, Jen doesn't work and so her family has set up what I call "Jen Days" where she can come to your house, or go shopping with you, or just hang with the family for a day. Last year was the first year I had Jen to my house and it is SOOOOO much fun! So this summer, we've had Jen to our house twice with a few more days scheduled (and maybe a few unscheduled!) the rest of this summer. Here are a couple of pictures of the day Jen came in May to our house. We went to lunch and then I was going to tredge to the library but it was POURING down rain and needless to say, we would have all been soaked by the time we got inside, so I opted to just go home and we made cookies!

Stay tuned for another post about "Jen Days" and a day with friends. If you want to see a sneak preview - go to my friend Danielle's blog http://bartonbabyblog.blogspot.com/.

Jen with Grace - look at that grin! She LOVES babies!

August and Jen were putting together puzzles while I baked cookies!
