Arizona

Well for the last few days, August and I have been enjoying the sunshine at my parents house in Prescott and has it been fun! I have lots of pictures, but since I'm not home yet, I can't post any, so as soon as I get back home, I will share them with all of you. (Pictures added 10/29/08)

We arrived on Wednesday and my dear "crazy" friend Bea picked us up from the airport and treated us to breakfast and then a few hours of play time with her daughter Alyssiana (spelling?) and their HUGE dog Samson. Then we met mom and dad at Cabelas where they have hundreds of stuffed wild game. August kept calling all the deer and elk, goats! But there was an elephant, lions, Canadian Geese, mountain goats, a polar bear and every other kind of wild game animal you can think of. August loved it! (Can you believe I left the camera in the car?? What a dork!)

Thursday was kind of a kick back day and dad and August played around outside. We rode "Grandpa's" quad around a little bit and then August went down for a nap. My dad stayed home and baby sat and mom and I had a girls time out! We went to Sonic where I got a corn dog and onion rings (my favorite) and then we went and got pedicures!!! I was so excited! It's the first one I've had in 2 years and it was a lot of fun. We came home and just hung for the rest of the day.
Dad, August, Max & Annie - the distance does not do Max justice - he's HUGE!!!

Friday was a day for August. You'll love the pictures I have for this day. Dad took us to work where there are loads of heavy equipment and machinery. So August got to see dump trucks, cement mixers, loaders, cranes, dozers and of course Dad's cat Fat Louie!
August was very intently watching everything that cement truck was doing - I love this picture.
August with Sue and Ginger. He loves them cuz' they give him candy!!!
Then Grandpa wanted to buy August a tractor so we headed across the highway to the Caterpillar store and would you believe the guy behind the counter (who obviously had nothing else going on!) took August and Grandpa and I out to the yard and let August sit on any of the tractors he wanted so he could be the "driver"! He LOVED it! Then of course we came home cuz' August was ready for a nap. Then that night, mom and dad had invited a number of people over and we had a birthday party for August. It was such a great day! Lots of memories.
The guy in the picture is the one who took us on the "tour" and in this picture, he's giving August his very own CAT key which Uncle Kelly informed me will start any CAT tractor around! I guess it would be fun to try! :O)

Our trip is not quite over, but we sure have had fun. Scott has been the real trooper staying at home, keeping the fort down, slaying the dragons and just being a wonderful husband and dad! He got to go fishing yesterday with his friend Nick, but unfortunately, they didn't catch anything. But at least they got to go just be guys without any woman interference! Thank you so much Scott! Can't wait to see you!

I will post more as soon as we get home, but I wanted to get this down before I forget some of the details. Look for pictures to come!
