Well - it has come. The time when you realize that you no longer have a tiny baby on your hands, but rather you have a growing child who will soon go off to school, then to college and then get married BUT WAIT - I'm getting ahead of myself a little!!!
I know you can't really tell, but she has a little braid in her hair here.....getting so long!!!
So about 3 weeks ago on a Friday, (the week before Christmas), Miss Grace took her first 2 little steps by herself. I was crouching on the floor working on gettting a new toy out of the packaging and she was standing next to me, took about 2 steps and stopped. Through the next couple of days, she took little steps here and there - loved holding my hand and walking through the house, or holding on to something else and pushing it around the house.
Well, while we were in Prescott, we were all sitting around the table after eating and Grace and Madi were playing around when all of a sudden I peak over at Grace and she's slowly walking across my parents floor!!! She took probably a total of about 12 steps before she plopped on her buns, but SHE WAS WALKING!!!
And now, every chance she gets to pull herself up on something, she's off and walking. She's still not super steady, but it makes me realize how short the time really is. She'll be 11 months next week and the time has just flown by.
AND she is a super sweet little baby - a few little hiccups in behaviour now and then, but is overall very sweet. I love to watch her and August play around in the house. I appreciate that August will find special things to do with her without my prompting. Although most of the time its me telling him to not push or hit when she annoys him......still working on that part!! Guess that's a life long thing huh?
Anyway - that's the most recent update on little Miss Grace. Stay tuned for more fun things we did this past few months! Lots to still post - whew.......(not thinking about how much - just going to do it!!!)

Oh how sweet she is! It goes by so fast doesn't it - one minute they can hardly hold their head up and then the next they are walking. I so enjoy all the stages!
