I LOVE 4TH OF JULY!
I think after Christmas it is my most favorite holiday and I'm not sure why except that I love the patriotism that is spurred in my soul on that day. I have to admit though, nobody can celebrate the 4th like Prescott. Oh how I miss the 4th in Prescott - and those of you who have lived there or visited or live there currently know what I'm talking about.
Today is a day to remember those who have fought for the standards we uphold in our country - and even though those standards are slowly being washed away by the constant waves of liberalism and socialism, they still burn in the souls of true and honest Americans. I love the fact that I was born in America. For those of you who have traveled a bit (overseas), you understand what I mean. There is no place like "home" when you get back. Nothing better than ice cold coke and a hamburger and fries!
So to all of my fellow Americans - Happy July 4th! May it cause a stirring in your heart once again for the love of our country and the freedoms we still have. Express those freedoms with everything you have in you! And, THANK YOU all of those who have served in our armed forces, or those of you who currently are serving. My heartfelt thanks goes to you and those who have fallen for protecting me and my family and allowing us the priveledge of living life the way we're accustomed. You are the fabric of our country and we appreciate you!
