Don't say it - I know.

Hi! My name is Stephanie and I am the author of this blog called Wegner Post.  But you wouldn't know that cuz I have been MIA for forever.  So sorry chaps - but here's one for old times sake!

What's been happening? Well.... Let's see.   We had a really nice Christmas - just quiet at home Christmas.
Kids are getting so big - like crazy big!

August - 4 - his most favorite thing to say right now?
" Mom - you're a dork!"
No kidding that's his favorite thing - course I have to give him the eye every time and he quickly changes it to "Mom - I'm always a dork" to which I say "yes you are - just like your mom!"

He is definitely a very serious boy and I'm learning that I have to be very careful how and what I explain to him.  For example - don't try to explain to a 4 year old who thinks too much that when you die and if you have Jesus in your heart, you get to go to Heaven.  If you do, you will hear the this sentance "Mom, I don't like Jesus -  I don't want to go to Heaven." and when asked why - it's because he thinks he's going to have to be taken away from Mom and Dad.  Yep - lesson learned there - will not do that again.  At any rate - he is my little "Wii" man.  We've taken to doing a coin/star system that is working like a charm for him to do his "routines" and being rewarded although I think I'm gonna have to change up some of his "routines".  We'll see.  At any rate - he's my man!
Just loving every day with him because he's almost to that age where I can joke with him and he doesn't take it too far to then irritate me.  ALMOST!

Then........there's this one.  Isn't she a cutie tootie?  Its amazing to me how fast the time goes by and they are big now.  Man it goes fast.  Well let's see - this little miss is so different from her brother but of COURSE everything August does - she has to mimic so I am constantly in a state of hysterics because she is doing EVERYTHING he is doing - saying every word, dancing like him - etc.!
This is her favorite pasttime - which equals - lets pull all the toys we can out into the kitchen right before mom has to cook and play babies, dressup and whatever else we can find all while she is trying to cook dinner.  Then when she's ready to go clean the bedroom, we'll move all of it in there while she's trying to clean!  That's a fun game!

I always knew they were laughing at me!
She turned 2 this month - hopefully I can get a few pictures of that up here on a seperate post but don't hold your breath cuz I'm not promising anything!  We just had a nice family party together and it was so fun.  Scott's Aunty from Hawaii came up here this month and has been with us for a few weeks.  So she was here for Grace's birthday.
She is a big girl now and wears big girl panties - only "protectors" at night time.  She rarely has an accident....unless its when we've forgotten to ask her if she has to go and Scott just happens to be carrying her to the car and she says "potty daddy" while she starts to pea on him!!! Haaaa haaa haaa! What's really funny is that if any of you REALLY know Scott - you know that this was like the end of the world.  He cannot stand poop, pee, dirt, throw up, etc. to be on him and so he of course was flipping out while I am quietly laughing on the inside because it's just one of those things!!!
She talks non-stop and you can understand 90% of what she is saying.  I need to record her because she's so stinking funny.

Ain't she a cootie bug?

Well - I will bore you with more details later - but for now, at least you know what the kids are doing.  I have lots I could blog about, but I have to get my blogging mojo going!!! HOpe you all are well!
