Do you know how many pictures Scott took of us and this was about the best we got??? Uugghh!
Can you believe I didn't take any pictures of August coloring eggs this year? HELLO!!! Where was I??? I have no clue, but I was brain dead that day I think. At any rate!!!! I think part of the problem was that I was not having a very good day on Saturday and just totally forgot to take pictures. They were doing it while I was fixing dinner, so that could be part of it too.
The kids baskets.
On to Easter Day! I am so thankful for Easter Day because it is a reminder once again not only what Jesus did for me and you, but is also a reminder that He lives again and that we too, will live again with Him in eternity if we've accepted Him as our Savior. It reminds me of all the things He's brought me through, all the mountains I've been on but also the valleys I've been in. He's been with me through it all and I'm so thankful.
Easter Day here was very rainy and sort of gloomy, but the kids looked cute and boy did they have fun gathering eggs and looking at their baskets. We decided to do less candy this year so we bought a few toys instead. Both Grandmas gave us some mullah to spend on the kids as well, so they were decked out and had some really fun toys.
Scoping it all out!
Of course he had to have a chocolate bunny.
Our resident dinosaur expert. HE LOVES DINOSAURS!!!
I wasn't sure how much Grace would understand what to do with the basket, but once we showed her - she figured it out right away and was doing great. August of course had it down and was the expert. We did the perfect amount of eggs because as they were grabbing the last few, they were beginning to lose interest in the fun of it, so it was perfect.
Scott's mom treated us to a nice Easter Lunch (which of course I have no pictures of - duh), and then we all went home and took a nap!!!! It was a relaxing, but special day! Enjoy the pictures!
PS - just as a side note - I was laughing because Scott took the pictures of the kids and can you believe these two pictures? Almost the exact same pose only one was at Christmas and the other at Easter! Funny kid!!!

I love how cute little tots are when looking for eggs. :)
Amen to the wonderful reminder of God's amazing grace every year that we celebrate Easter!
Jackson and I were just looking at your blog together and he said "Oh, August, he's so funny. I want to go to August's house! Oh, he has the same shirt as me!(blue striped) I love August:)" It was so cute, I think they really bonded over books at conference:)
