The Waiting game......

Have you ever had to wait and wait and wait for what seemed eternity and then finally what you've been waiting for comes to pass? ANYONE who has been pregnant knows EXACTLY what I'm talking about and so as I'm typing - we're .,.,,,.....yep, you guessed - waiting. Whew. I am ready for this baby to makes it's presence known, but she's snug as a bug - let me tell you. I've had plenty of false labor this time which is funny because I didn't really have that much last time - or else I didn't know what to expect and so had it but didn't know what to look for. At any rate - we're still waiting!!!
So I had a revelation yesterday morning as I was laying awake from 1:30 until 8:00 in the morning, that this was probably going to be my last week to really spend some one on one time with my baby boy and that I'd probably have a better week if I tried to maximize every day as opposed to just being a pain and wanting to not be pregnant anymore. So, even though we may not go do a bunch of stuff, I am going to do my best to spend as much fun time with August as I can because from here on out - I have to share his time with another "creature".

Cool Dude!
My mom arrives tomorrow from Prescott and so that will be a huge load off my mind - especially if I have to go anywhere - then I don't have to try and pick up August - he's a heavy 2 year old! August is cute. Wish I could catch it on video (but my v-camera is safely in my hospital bag so we don't forget it!) I've been telling him Grandma Wohlwend is flying on an airplane to come see us, so yesterday he kept telling the nursery ladies "Grandpa fly airplane, come see us"! Needless to say, he gets the names confused sometimes!

And at this point I have to put in a plug for family and friends. Since we don't have too much family close to us, we've sort of "adopted" the McMillan familly as our surrogate family. They have 4 girls whom August just loves. And I have to say that Christina and the girls have saved my butt this past week with just taking August and letting me rest. Even Dan got in on the action yesterday and took August to watch Audrey's basketball game so Scott (who got the cold I had last week) and I could sleep for a couple of hours. Wow! Thank goodness for good friends! I just hope that I can be that for someone else in the future - I will remember these days and keep them as a reminder when I see another young pregnant girl with a two year old.

Three of the 5 "McMillan Girls" - Audrey, Grace and Ellen. So Cute!
So since this is the post that never ends because I'm rambling, I'll end it with a cutie picture of my handsome men and call it good! Hopefully one of the next posts will be pictures of our new little baby, so stay tuned!
Who knew you could get cute pictures at Taco Bell???

Steph, the time will come sooner than you think....and then one day you will wish for it all over again! :)

What an exciting time to be waiting for your newest family member, I wish you a quick and relatively pain-free delivery and I cannot wait to see pics of a mini Steph!

You are all in my prayers.

Love, Heather

Hi girly! So sad we didn't get together one last time before Grace arrived... but excited to finally meet her!! I hate hate hated the waiting game... and get this, Natalee came 2 weeks early. I think I might die next time! I came home from my 38 week appt and he told me I wasn't even a 1 (dilated) and wouldnt' be delivering for quite some time.. and I just cried. I was so down. And sooo ready to be done. And then, get this, the next day, I went into labor. WEIRD. Just goes to show the dr's don't know as much as they pretend to know! (: Wishing you a SOON delivery!!! Love ya lots! danielle
