Grace Hisako Laurie (pronounced Heesako Laree) decided to make her appearance into this world on Valentines Day, 2009 at 1:48 in the morning. What a whirl wind of a time it was for Scott and I as I went into labor and delivered the baby within about 7 hours. Now you may say, "oh that's a fairly typical labor", but when you compare it to her brother's arrival she was, as I said, fast and furious. Her brother decided he was going to come at his own precious time with a timed delivery of 18 hours!!! At any rate, we are fully in love with this little girl and her brother seems to be pretty infatuated too.
We're still working on the feeding schedule and sleeping at night, but she seems to be a pretty content and laid back baby, only crying when she's hungry and when she needs to be changed. Although I'm thinking she may have a few gassy issues, but we'll see. All in time, all in time.
Scott and I didn't have much of a "romatic" Valentines Day, but it sure was an eventful day. We didn't sleep much of course, but are so glad God blessed us with a healthy and precious baby girl. We couldn't ask for more. I haven't been able to put into words all that happened that day, but maybe I will be able to some day.
Until another time when I have more time, I'm signing off!!!
