Banana Bread

So many of you have seen all those fancy shmancy blogs where they show a recipe and then they take pictures of the whole process and then take a picture of the final product.  Well I thought I would "attempt" my version of it cuz it looks so fun!  And of course as most of you know I love to bake, so what better to do than Banana Bread?  Doesn't everyone have overripe bananas at their house all the time? Oh - well, maybe it's just me, but anyway here goes!

How to make Banana Bread:
1.  Have one child who loves to bake beg you about 800 times to make something and then finally give in.
2.  Decide "What in the world am I going to make now" and then,
3.  Get out all the ingredients. (here is where the pictures come in.....ready?)

Bananas,

Flour, Sugar, Salt, Baking Soda & Baking Powder, Lemon juice

(BTW - soooooo sorry for the elephant butt in the picture.....I just about died laughing as I was previewing this post - can you tell I am not a photographer extrodinare???Haaaaa Haaaaa Haaaa!!!!!!)

Nuts and Chocolate Chips
2 Helpers,
And 1 crazy Mom
Mix it all together allowing one helper to stir while you clean up all the spilled water the other helper has spilled on the floor.
Pour the mixture into 2 loaf pans (wishing all the while it was about 2:00 pm so you could send the kids to bed and you could "loaf"  Har Har!)
Put it into the oven, wait for it to finish - in the meantime, clean up all the dishes you managed to dirty in the process, unload the dishwasher, spank the one child who is tormenting the other child, clean up the mess the dog made on the floor because you were too busy making banana bread and didn't take her potty, pray insanely that it would hurry up and be 2:00 so you could relax for a second and wait for the timer to go off (as long as you remembered to set it in the first place).  When the time does go off.......take the final product out - allow the kids to ooooo and aaaaaahhhhh from a distance and TURN THE OVEN OFF! (that last step is important!)
Finally, be thankful you made it through and then figure out who the heck is going to eat all of that banana bread and kindly pawn it off on your husband so he can take it to all those Lucky people at work who wonder why the crazy woman he's marrried to, who has TOO MUCH TIME ON HER HANDS, would bake them banana bread. But you see, now you know my secret and my recipe to making really good banana bread!
Yeah!!! We made it!
